Does having other applications and tabs open become a variable? For example if I’m mixing at 1024 buffer size but I have a bunch of apps open will that create more delay than if I had no apps open mixing at 1024?

I have a used Twin desktop with a Focusrite Clarett+ OctoPre going to my ADAT. Gives 10 channels total with some UA plugins on the Octopre channels at the cost of less than an Apollo rack.

I had this amp. Was a good amp. However I didn't like the sound. I had to change the speaker. A Jensen speaker is simply the only right way to get that Princeton tone.

That bigness comes from the mics more than the preamps. but both preamps sound great. Either could be used depending on artistic choice. The Warm sounds more lively and detailed to me (especially solo'd with rooms mics) but that doesn't mean it's necessarily better. All that detail could be too much for a song, or just right.

I just want to learn engineering so I can focus on that as a profession instead of looking at my actual passion (creating) like a job. Cause I’d never be able to consistently do one thing everyday and not switch it up that’s insanity to me, I’ve always needed two jobs so for some this works in tandem.

I love the look of the UF1. I only wish it had a dedicated Undo/Redo button, which is essential to me when I'm tracking guitars. The Presonus Faderports has that, for that reason I'd be more tempted to get those, but I don't like the Presonus quality/feel. For tracking in Pro Tools I'm using a little Stream Deck nearby my mouse and so far it works wonderfully for my recording purposes.

people have been tuning 808s for a loooong time. it's funny to claim that. i mean any track with pitched 808 was doing that and there are thousands before the mid 90s
